Beef And Mushroom Bolognese


Brimming full with hearty flavours, this beef and bolognese favourite is a real crowd pleaser.

  • 375g spaghetti or other pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 500g beef mince
  • 150g button mushrooms finely chopped
  • 575g jar tomato pasta sauce

The Instruction of beef and mushroom bolognese

  • heat oil in a medium frying pan on high brown mince for 4 5 minutes breaking up any lumps with the back of a spoon as it cooks
  • add mushrooms and cook stirring for another 4 5 minutes until mushrooms are tender
  • stir in sauce and bring to the boil reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 10 minutes
  • meanwhile cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water for 10 12 minutes following packet instructions drain well
  • serve pasta topped with bolognese sprinkle with a little shaved parmesan and chopped parsley if you like
